[ One particularly cold evening, whenever it is Toph arrives home, she will note that her typical path will be disrupted by a notably (and thoughtfully) placed object. It is just off to the right and arranged just so that it does not interfere with her usual tread, but it is most obviously for her based upon the lack of unnecessary adornments and the vaguely raised characters upon the box. It is not her name, most primarily for the fact that such things are highly personalized and thus no approximation would suffice due to Aldrip's insistence upon translation, but it does indicate it is, quite literally, "for [Toph]."
Either way, once she picks it up, she'll feel that it is a covered, rectangular package. It is a kind of container, actually, and cracking the lid open will carry forward the scent of... Sugar and oranges? Not fresh, mind, but in the form of a warmed jam within precise, round pockets of lightly dusted and fried donuts. Biting into them will reveal that the jam is actually of the mandarin orange variety, which is certainly nontraditional if Toph goes questing further into what they are.
Anyway, there's no note carved therein. There are crisply folded edges of parchment paper that keeps them all separated (and thus the jam from spilling over onto the others - there's about two dozen in all), but no indication of a sender.
[ Toph has no idea who gave her these pastries but she thoroughly enjoys eating them. Perhaps she will pester people she knows until someone admits who did it... ]
It appears we have a new arrival from our home world. Someone I think you could benefit from meeting, as I suspect he may be more useful in honing your awareness training.
